    Hi
I have an old Inspiron 1501 AMD Turion which is doing as a download machine
Wanted to install WWAN card in it
Primary is EVDO but if HSDPA/UMTS is available thats even better as i can switch ISPs
    In EVDO i want a Rev A card 3.1Mbps

I have shortlisted few cards but couldnt find compatibility chart or something of sorts to check whether it would work in Inspiron 1501

If someone could confirm their compatibility
and the best selection in all

Dell Truemobile 5500 EVDO compatible 3.1 Mbps
Dell Truemobile 5700 EVDO compatible 1.8 Mbps ?? (couldnt confirm)
    Dell 5600 GSM + EVDO ????????? 7.2Mbps/3.1Mbps
    Sierra MC5720 EVDO ???????? ???

My preference so far which is not based on compatibility
    1. Dell 5600 -- use both GSM and CDMA in one device
    2. Dell 5500 -- REV A chip with 3.1Mbps speeds
    3. Dell 5700/Sierra MC5720 --dont know the speeds whether they are Rev A

I also want to install bluetooth in it .
Its a pain to attach a dongle every time
Is it possible i have enough of cheap dongles lying around to play with
Any guides for the same ?

The 1501 doesn't have a slot for an internal WWAN. Even if you get some sort of combo WWAN/WIFI card, it still doesn't have a slot for a SIM card. Your best bet is ExpressCard, USB or a new laptop.
