GeForceĀ™ Go 7800 GTX or GeForceTM Go 6800 Ultra?
Have thought that 6800 Ultra will be enough but how big is the difference?

    Cheers

The difference is huge. My system gets 6600+ 3DMARK05 scores with the 7800 GTX my laptop puts my desktop to shame. I believe it is well worth the extra $350. You will have a gaming beast that should last you a few years.

hm, that's too bad. To me it's quite a lot money. Let me put it this way, would I be disappointed if I would go for the 6800 Ultra? (hard to say huh? :))

Without knowing what you want to do with it, it's hard to help you, but the 6800 is no slouch of a card. You can play all games, you'll just get better performance and detail from the 7800.

    ^^^^^^^^
    What Brian said........

If gaming is your focus then I say pony up the extra coin for the 7800GTX Also if you call in to place your order you should be able to get the rep to apply what-ever the current Inspiron coupon is. Mine was 30% off.....

If you're getting the M170 you're going to want to spend a little extra and get the 7800. If you're getting a "Gaming Laptop" I'm suspecting that you do a little bit of gaming and it's worth not having to upgrade later on.

All right, two things then: Call in the order and get myself a 7800GTX. Hope it will save the difference between 6800ultra and 7800gtx. :)
