guys i need your help. i have finalized two laptops but cant choose the better one amongst them. Ill tell you the specifications, so you can help.

First one is Dell Inspiron 17R Turbo

Processor: i7-3630QM (6M Cache, up to 3.4 GHz)
    RAM: 8GB
    HDD: 1TB
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M GDDR5 2GB
    Display: 17.3"
    Cost: Rs 70,790 (approx $1415)

Second one is Dell Inspiron 15R (N5521) (TouchScreen)

Processor: i7-3537U (4M Cache, up to 3.1 GHz)
    RAM: 8GB
    HDD: 1TB
    Video Card: 2GB AMD Radeon™ HD 8730M
    Display: 15.6"
    Cost: Rs 62,290 (approx $1245)

Now, let me be specific, Cost and Screen Size is not an issue, nor do i require Touch Screen. Other than that the major difference between the two models is their Processor and Video Card, and obviously Inspiron 17R Turbo has better procesor and video card but the thing i want to ask is, how much better is it over the other. Does it make a considerable difference? Basically what i want to know is how significant is the difference between a 4M cache and a 6M cache. I am going to use it for all sorts of purposes including online gaming, 3D modelling and rendering softwares and web hosting.

I need your help, please guide me appropriately. Thank you all.

You should probably go for the 17R. It has the faster CPU and GPU, which can make a difference in rendering and gaming, respectively.

aaahhhh.......17R SE is called Turbo in India.....now i saw it :)

you say you might want to render videos and work with 3D modelling

...well, for that you need a good GPU (and CPU)............the AMD card will not fix that very good......go for the Nvidia card :)

ps......you might should go for a Precision laptop with a "real" OpenGl video card.....
sort: quadro K5000M or K4000M.............it fit you needs way better. (you also can play games with that card if you so like, but it biggest purpose is a "working-horse")
