    Which programs are junkware?

    I just got me e1505 today, but it didn't come with the XP CD so I can't do the restore detailed in the stickied guide on these forums. So I want to do the next best thing and just add/remove programs all the junkware. The only problem is, I'm not sure which of these programs are junkware and which are ones that I need. Can anyone post or direct me to a list of all the factory installed programs and what they do? Thanks!

    there's a thread on how you can get your OS CD from dell.

    lemme summarize it: call/email/chat them and ask for it. they will mail it to you.

    nope, i called them up, spent an hour getting dropped back and forth between departments, but got it ordered. also, the people i talked to were nice enough people and had good english so it really wasn't that bad, and the wrong departments was my fault.

    Just call them, ask for EVERYTHING specifically (windows xp, powerdvd, sonic rocordnow, drivers, applications) make sure you make that clear, and they should have it in your mailbox in 3-5 days (mine took 4 over a weekend)

    I'd really like to at least clear all the crap off today without doing the full restore. Let me just ask about the programs I'm not sure of.

    FOLKS!

    On sunday, i contactd dell saying i need software to burn cds. After giving them my service tag, within 5 mintues i got an email about my case number and that they are going to send me cds. Today i got the package, it cam be next day air using DHL. Theres 6 cds in the package, never had to pay, just chatted with them
