I do not play any games, I will use the Laptop for Web Browsing, School Work, and Music etc. Which screen would be good for me?the XGA, XGA and Truelife, Ultrasharp XGA With Truelife, or Ultrasharp SXGA With Trulife? thanks.

If you have the money and great eyes buy the WSXGA+ which is 1680x1050 resolution. I settled for the standard 1200x800 and everything looks just fine. I made the mistake and ordered my T60 with WSXGA+ and man everything on the screen is tiny.

Should I get it with Truelife or no?

That all depends on what you plan on doing with the laptop. If you're using it in a classroom, Truelife will give you some glare. I personally love it but i'm no longer school age so classroom usage is not an issue for me.
Truelife gives you a higher contrast similar to a CRT screen with a tad more glare. The trade off is well worth it for me and something I don't even notice. -
one last question, on the 1400 they have an XGA AND AN XGA+ for an extra $40. What is the advantage and should I get it for the extra $40?

so get the xga+? I dont need the SXGA right?

For the 1400
14.1" Wide Screen WXGA+ (1440x900) display with TrueLifeTM
14.1" Wide Screen WXGA (1280x800) display with TrueLifeTM
14.1" Wide Screen WXGA (1280x800) display -
my mistake, am now gettin the 1500 and the option I choose was "Ultrasharp XGA+ LCD Display" for an extra $50. Am I okay with this or should I downgrade/upgrade(I dont play games!)

You're not playing games, im assuming from the list you put no movie watching really (maybe occasionally), so just get the standard screen. As to truelife or not, well it all depends where you will be using it really if theres a lot of bright lights around truelife might cause too much glare

So there is no Matte 1440x900 screen for the 1400??
Which screen for Vostro 1500?
