I don't want to spend anymore than I need to but at the same time I want decent sound quality. Is it worth shelling out an extra 25 for the Integrated Sound Blaster® Audigy™HD Software Edition or even 75 for the Creative Labs Express Sound Card?

Or perhaps the best option is to stick to the High Definition Audio 2.0?

stick with the stock high def one. the other two are both software and will use up more cpu cycles.

"Creative Labs Express Sound Card" is a software solution? The name of it makes it sound like it is a hardware solution, like an ExpressCard or something.

Its a piece of hardware but it still does not have its own processor on it. This was stated on another topic. So it depends on what you want it for.
