    yea... this is annoying me.
i dont know which one to use. word around is that the 16x.xx drivers are retarded and incompatible with some games, iono if thats true. but right now im using version 158.45.
When i first got my lappy and i 3dmarked it i scored about 3285 and now with the upgraded drivers i scored a lower 3252 lmfao :\ i dont wanna change back because im just to lazy.

so has there been a recommended driver for the 8600gt yet?

btw... with the new drivers 3dmark no longer sees my video card as standard VGA accelerator but a 8600gt lol. the only dell drivers make my comp recognize the vid card as a standard VGA for somereason.

Your 3d marks will vary regardless of driver set, I've had back to back runs differ by as much as 800 marks. There are so many variables, and background operations , thats why most reviews are done with an average score of many many runs.

Yes, I am having bad luck with my 8400GS as well...it's glitchy occasionally with everything from in-game performance and minimizing and maximizing windows :(
