i know for gaming everyone recommends XP because it is not a memory hog. i purchased my 1520 with Vista Home Basic, and i have read that it is pretty much a prettier version of XP. does home basic use about the same amount of memory as xp, or is it a memory hog like vista premium?

I think that Home (basic) requires more than XP for sure, but not as much as Premium id say its like 1xp 2vista basic 3 vista premeium (numbers are not relative to 1GB, just a relative reference)

Vista Home Basic has all the problems of Home Premium/Ultimate without some of the benefits.
