    Which wifi card for Studio 17?

    Hi,

    Looking to buy dell studio 17 and, going through the options I'm a little confused byt the wifi card options. What's the difference between the following options and which would be the 'best'?

    Dell wireless 1397 mini card
    Dell wireless 1520 half mini card
    INTEL wireless lan 6200

    1397 is a Broadcom card with 802.11 a/b/g. 1520 is a Broadcom card with 802.11 n. 6200 is an Intel card with 802.11 n. 6200 is probably the best card, but I doubt most people would notice too much of a difference between it and the 1520.

    Even if you don't have an 802.11 n infrastructure, I don't think there's much of a point in buying a 1397 in this day and age. Maybe if it's significantly cheaper than the rest...

    I'd give a nod to the 6200. I've had occasional issues with Broadcom chipsets and prefer the Intel based cards if the price difference isn't gigantic.
