    Dell Wireless 1490 802.11a/g Mini Card or IntelJ3945 802.11a/g Mini-card?

    intel chip might be slightly better battery/range but not worth the money difference imo. stick with whats cheaper. the dell one is fine.

    Get the Intel card if you want to run Linux... otherwise I doubt if it'll matter much (although some people prefer one or the other).

    This has come up a number of times, so do a search if you'd like to read more opinions.

    Oh yeah... Are you sure the 1490 is just a/g and not a/g/n? That would explain the price difference too....
