OK...so a few weeks ago, I had a Dell Tech come by to replace my motherboard and hinges on my Inspiron 600m. As soon as he leaves, the laptop just shuts off. I try to turn it back on, and all three of the lights (caps lock and number lock and the other one) plus the three lights on the hinge light up for 5 seconds and then shutoff.

On the few times I have been able to get it to start, if I moved it at all, the entire system would freeze and I would get a white screen with a message that says "You have inserted a module into the D-Bay attached to your docking station, but this module is not supported by the D-Bay. The module will not be functional if left in place. You should remove it now." Then it completely shuts off, with no hope of restarting for at least a few hours.

Except, I don't have a docking station, and I don't know what the D-Bay is. The technician stopped by 3 more days to fix various things, and it all failed. I eventually had it sent in to be fixed, and they sent it back saying they replaced the "heat sink", but the computer still had the same problems.

I'm beyond frustrated with this issue. Everytime Dell touches it, it gets worse. Does anyone have any idea what that message means or how to fix it???

Speak to Dell, they will have a list of what the different light sequences mean.

I've been talking to them, multiple times and multiple different people. No one gives me an exact diagnosis. I'm hoping that someone here will have come across the same problem and has a solution :(
