    Hey all!

I have this ongoing saga with Dell and damages caused to my XPS 1530 caused by Dell's contracted *On-Site* Third Party Technician's *Qualixserve*.

Please refer to this thread for further information:
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=400918

My lappy seems to be repaired now. But, I had turned to Dell's Web Escalation Team for *resolve* with the issue for the damage the Onsite Qualixserve Technician did to my 1530 ~ and how my own *warranty* was used to repair the damages caused by him.

The Management Team at Qualixserve informed me they are contracted out by Dell and any issues I had with them had to be take up with Dell, etc..as they *were not to be held responsible*.

Today in a e-mail with someone from Dell Web Escalation I received the following information:

Alright. So, Dell hire's out this company...and they can do basically whatever they want to your laptop, and Dell will accept no responsibility?

Talking about *passing the buck* between the two. Web Escalation wasted my time. He knew (the Escalation Rep), at the beginning he wasn't going to help me. And, should've stated this information via e-mail, instead of having me supply him all the *detailed* information regarding what had went on, from beginning going forward. :(

*sigh* :( I'm so sad. Should I have any battle left in me on this? I know my lappy is fixed now...but the point is, it was damaged and it shouldn't have been in the first place...period.

    Cin.

Wow, Dell should have let you know right away that they outsourced the techs, instead of making you send in all your info and having to wait.

Qualexserve shouldn't have passed the buck to Dell, they chose the particular tech that worked on (heck, that's too good of a set of words) your system the first time. They should have been willing to hear you out.

    Sorry to hear, cin :(

This is why I always ask Dell to send me the parts for ME to install. I don't trust anyone from these shoddy 3rd party "Dell Service Providers".

Again, I hope everything works out for ya.....

Yeah thanks guys....last resolve is to request to speak with a Supervisor, I suppose outside of this person I have been dealing with. We shall seeing.
    *draining*.

    I feel your pain,

Second time I have had my system returned to have repairs done to it, and the second time the screen has been scratched, not a happy bunny at the moment.
