    Who ordered a Vostro 1400 in UK?

    Am I only the person to have ordered a Vostro 1400?

    Its been in Pre-production for over a week, and the estimated delivery date is the 19th September, anyone else the same date? :mad:

    nope i ordered the 1700 which is pretty much the same but a bigger screen. Been in pre production for 2 weeks

    I just orderd a 1400 after dell canceled my original two orders. Got an EDD of 2nd october and is stuck in pre-production. One of my friends also ordered a 1400 similr spec and his is stuck in pre-production.

    I ordered on the 31st of August with an EDD of 26th September. The dell rep said the cpu was causing the delay and that by monday they would have it. Its fridasy now but its still in pre-production.

    When i ordered the 1400 with the Truelife 1280x800 screen on the 16th August i had and edd of 2nd October yet when i ordered the Truelife 1440x900 screen the edd is closer at 26 september! I guess the 1440x900 screen helps speed up the delay.

    It was just one year as supposedely they ring you up towards the end and offer upgrade to 3 year for half price. How did you get the travel remote with yours, I couldnt see an option on website when I ordered it and it was something I wanted.

    I called up and order and they cut the price by about £80. Then 2 weeks later (yesterday) i emailed about a whole lot of things about delays, customer service and they gave me £60 off!

    At last, 2 days before its meant to be in my hands it has shot through Production and is now on Delivery Preparation!

    Lol yeah i heard that on the Internet statuts that is does not usually updaate until its near the end. I emailed my dell rep about the long delay and he said he would prioritise my order.

    @Manzi, I ordered on the 25th August, I have the Vostro 1400, 5470 Core 2 Duo, 2GB, X3100 Int. Graphics, Normal Screen, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 120GB HDD & 6-Cell Battery.

    Also if anyone needs a laptop bag that will fit the Vostro's; look @ Crumpler.co.uk!

    My order has been shipped so im just waiting for it within the next few days. The edd is actually 26th of September and im hoping it will come before that.

    Mine arrived only a day late, everything works perfectly!

    No grainy screen but it isn't as good as my Asus 19" TFT's.

    I've set it up to sync with my K800i the second it switches on, I'm used to very responsive mice (Razer Pro Solutions 1600-2400DPI) and I was able to set the Sensitivity!

    Fast load-up speed too!

    @Manzi: Never at all, running iTunes, Firefox & all the Open Office programs as well as Windows Live Messenger with McAfee in the background still doesn't nudge the speed! ;)

    Mine has just arrived! Very pleased with it well worth the wait. Laptop has a nice feel to it and is very fast compared to my old celeron.
