I was looking on the dell website and decided to look at the dell xps m1530, at the end of the explore option i expanded the xps accessory kit and it says that it includes a mouse pad and cable ties. I didn't get any of that in my original box or my replacement M1530 box. Did anyone else?

Yeah I got the leather portfolio with manuals and documentation, and the earbuds. No mousepad though.

I got a sleeve, earbuds, leather manual and disc holder, earbuds with carrying bag, and micro-fiber cloth. No mousepad or cable ties.

Hey all, I found this website thru google, but I am in the same boat as the OP. I just purchased a new Dell XPS M1530 three weeks ago and never received the XPS mousepad and cable ties. I talked to a Dell CSR and was told that "we are going to rectify the error on the website and we are sorry we cannot send you the complementary XPS kit."

I checked the Dell website and as of 7 April 2008, they are still offering a complementary XPS accessory kit (incl aforementioned items) with the XPS M1530.

Seems like bait and switch or false advertising...

Are cable ties and a mousepad really necessary for a laptop?

Darkside, I agree with you - I cant find any Dell or XPS t-shirts on the net anywhere.

A mousepad would have been nice. I prefer to use a mouse over the touchpad. I would have used the cable ties for my desktop PC or home theater interconnects.

Oh well. Easy come, easy go I guess. :(

So uhh, all XPS 1530s DO STILL come with the accessory kits (excluding mousepad and cable ties) and the Express Card Remote, right?

I believe the mousepad and cable ties comes with the desktop XPS systems.

Anyone know if it is possible to get the sleeve from Dell? I didn't get it with my system, and I was wondering if I could just buy one.

    Update (25 April 2008):
I talked with the same CSR again and as compensation for the missing accessory kit items, they sent me a Dell 25 dollar gift card. It took about a month and a half to get, but its better than nothing :)
