I ordered my laptop, says it will be delivered no later than the 28th. On the order I set the checkbox that I was placing the order with a Debit Card which has a pop down box asking what is the debit limit/day and I set that to 1000. Order done!
I get my case shipped the next day but the laptop remains in order processing for 3 weeks. I give my bank a call and ask them if Dell ever tried to process an order. Low and behold, yes! The same day as I ordered they tried to process the full amount of the laptop but my debit card has a 1000 limit so it was denied. Okay, first mark against Dell... they don't pay attention to the part of the order informing them it was made with a debit card and has a limit/day.
I tell my bank to please up my limit temporarily, then have to call Dell, and then have to replace my order from scratch as "we don't keep track". Wow! I told them you also don't keep track of the contact info it seems as why wasn't I informed 3 weeks ago you encountered a problem with the order, and why did you forgo the part of the order where I set the limit/day of 1000?
I'm frustrated, I wanted the laptop to edit movies while I go on vacation which is now 2 weeks away and now it's not looking like I'll get the laptop in time.
Why doesn't Dell inform people when there's a problem w/order?
