Why doesnt Dell have a 15" Laptop with a good graphics card??

I mean their 15.4" laptops all have the other hardware neccesary for good gaming/3D laptop.

    WSXGA+ Option
    Duo Core
    Generally nice build
    COUPONS galore!!

I mean take a look at the D820. Awesome Awesome performer. However for that much money wouldnt it better to have a gf7600 instead of a quadro card based on a gf7400??

Since its based at business line, Im sure the Engineers/Designers/Graphics Artists etc would benefit more from a gf7600 than a quadro based on a underpowered, 64bit memory gf7400 base.

Also, telling me that power consumption, heat etc doesnt allow them room to work with a higher end video card is a waste of time. The Asus A8JM is a 14" notebook with a MXM 7600.

The D820/M65 both are considerably bigger and im sure have room and the power to allow for a better video card.

Its like offering a really nice mid-range sports car with a small 4-cyl engine. Just doesnt make sense to me.

Come on Dell , Get with the program.

Dell should offer both a 15 inch and a 17 inch in the XPS line (and maybe even put a dedicated card in the M140). XPS is Dells performance line, but they should have more options. Most people would probably prefer a smaller and lighter gaming unit, and in turn they have to go elsewhere to fill their needs. Dell is actually turning people away by only having "one" choice for a premium gaming laptop. A dedicated XPS with a 15.4" screen would probably sell great.

You have to consider the size though. A video card's heat sink is really big.

    dude.

offering an ati x1400 and no option for a higher end nvidia card in their 15" series is really stupid in my opinion

the 7600 is meant for 15" laptops, its heatsink isnt that big. Im not talking something like putting a 7800/7900 into the 15" laptop.

I think the Dell D820 is my perfect laptop. But Im not going to buy it cuz I think the quadro graphics card in their isnt a good card. And since there isnt an option for a gf card, I will not buy the D820.
