    Why have Secure Digital Slots on Dell Notebooks

    Well I was surfing on the secure digital site about why the hell Dell have put Secure Digital slots and not Compact Flash like most people have in their Digital cameras. I was a bit pissed off about this as it did not make sense and then I found this link which shows you all the new products that will be coming out in the future that are based on Secure Digital format.

    What is an SDIO Card?
    SDIO (Input/Output) card is an interface that extends the functionality of devices with SD card slots. A variety of SDIO cards are being developed, such as a Camera, Bluetooth®, GPS, and 802.11b.

    Of course, the host device for the SDIO Card will also be able to use the SD Memory Card

    wow, it's awesome.. I'm glad I've purchased i6000 recently. Also I'm lucky -- I have a camera with a Secure Digital card.
