Some people are getting their laptops way faster than others, with the same exact specs. There's still people that have waited more than me, and I see people who just ordered their laptops 3 days ago that are typing on them right now. Not fair!![]()

Crimsonman Ex NBR member
depends on the color of the lid
-
Not really. It was the EXACT SAME SPECS.
-
It's not fair but I'm not gonna be complaining when I get to type on mine in a few days
-
its the lids and the size they are in, I sorta noticed something lately, smaller the laptop and whatever undelayed color it has, the faster it goes out
I guess it takes longer to build the 1520 and 1720 laptops than the 1420 -
Yeah, I won't be complaining either, WHEN I get it. Hehehe. That's how it always works, no? I also agree with XxXKUL.
-
wow i ordered 14 days after you and my eta is one day before urs...
-
Ya. Exactly my point.
-
They're totally doing it 100% on purpose, just to piss people off.
-
qwazzy...I'm with you on this....I ordered 5 days before you and am in the same boat...check my signature....
-
Oh man, this is just horrible.
-
yea, but at least you guys have better hope since a bunch of 1520 have been shipped
1720
no no no no -
Not really. I've been waiting since the 17th.
-
It (people getting there laptops earlier with the same specs as me even though they ordered later) used to bother me but now I just kinda say whatever and laugh it off since theres not much that you can do about. Hell, for some reason I can't even get compensation for the delays, although I haven't tried that hard but still, I still think I should get some. =S
-
Yeah, me neither...been waiting since July 12th...it's been a month now...
-
Talk to them on the phone. They should give you at least $75. -
-
I was being sarcastic, smartass.
-
Guys, settle down, you're not in kindergarten...hopefully.
-
Heh, thanks for making it personal.
-
Lmao..........

You know, I think people think that Dell makes these laptops in the order that they receive. Because I have experience in the production industry (not laptop but it doesn't matter - they are all the same), I know that this is not true. They really just group a bunch of the computers with identical specs in the same line at the time. They begin to make them. Of course it is possible that they "run out of parts" before all laptops of those specs are made. This might explain why some people who have ordered after you get their computer before you.
I can't explain why this happens to you all of the time. -
Another master of sarcasm. Lots of you guys around here, I see. You certainly nailed everything I said down to the word.
-
[/sarcasm] -
Bump...bump.
-
What's going on here? lol
-
Nothing, actually. LOL.
Why is Dell doing this?
