It says it is at first but when i click to configure it to my liking the color isn't a choice. What the hell? I don't want it in any other color other than white.![]()

Alpine White is available as a selectable option on the Canadian website. Usually when there is no stock, it will advise you of a delayed ship date. I just tried it on the Canadian site, and was advised accordingly, mind you, I only tried to configure the 1 model (the one for $1199). Hope this helps!! Try selecting a different model of 1520. Dell often has errors on there configuations options.

The Inspiron 1525s are available for pre-order on the Australia website and one of the available options is Alpine white. This will probably be an option once they are launched in other places as well. Looks like they are set to ship on 01/09/08 in Australia.

This is kinda offtopic, but I just wanted to tell you, I have an Alpine White, and it looks GORGEOUS. =)

The red is out of stock as well. I tried to order one just before X-mas. I had put a red 1520 into a saved card on the Thursday before X-mas. The next day I tried to retrieve the cart but it said the item had been deleted. Carts are usually saved for 30 days so I called Dell to see what was going on. The rep said they had sold out of the red and white units and that I should try again at the beginning of the year.
The person I was pricing the 1520 for really wants red, Windows XP and the anti-glare screen. I'm trying to convince them to go with the XPS M1530 since the deals are sooo good right now but the fact that it has the glossy screen and Vista only is making her pause...
Why isn't the 1520 available in Alpine White?
