Why do we get the short end of the stick? There are about a ba-zillion deals in the US of A, and we get one "web special" per week. What gives?

you need to get used to this unfair situation
try to make price comparsion between dot usa and ca , and you will see the difference is more than cad 1,000

at dell.ca better web special is to give you free printer, free shipping, double
memory . free upgrade . (this week free m/s office ) hard to hear to give you 50 0/0 off

This isn't just Dell, it's always this difference between the U.S. and Canada when it comes to retail, both online and brick.

I lived in the U.S. for 8 years and I could find amazing deals all the time for all kinds of stuff. In Canada amazing deals for anything are few and far between. That's what happens when you have 1/10th of the population size.

Keep in mind also that much of the Dell goods are manufactured outside of the U.S. so those goods do not fall under the Free Trade agreement.
