Is there only one battery manufacturer that Dell relies on?

You'd think they'd have some kind of backup plan. Is this another reason for the big sales lately? Sort of a compensation for huge delays?

Tell me about it.. I ordered mine two weeks ago and it's still on the build stage. It's probably normal, but something tells me it will take a while to get shipped.

If you don't mind my asking, what laptop did you order? and what battery?

I ordered a Studio 15 3 or 4 days ago and I am dreading the worst...

If it has been in pre-production that long you might want to call back and verify that the billing information they received was correct!

They could just have been waiting to receive a specific part of the laptop you ordered. What are your specs?

I ordered an Inspiron 1420 on the 31st July. Since then there was a delay with payment, fair enough, but that was resolved like 4 days ago, and I'm still getting an "Order has been received" message when I check its status. WTH? I'd have expected them to be in production by now. And me living in the same country they produce the laptops in too.
