    Why would Dell delay shipping on a new system?

    Any ideas? We ordered a 1121 new and it's been delayed, don't they just have them ready to go and all they have to do is put a label on them and hand off to the carrier, if you didn't ADD or CHANGE anything? I am kinda disappointed that they are delaying our estimated delivery date over a week now. :(

    That's not quite how it works. It's not like they have all these base models sitting around, and then when you customize it they crack it open and swap things around. Did you order a "Ships Fast" model?

    Nope it wasn't one of the Ships Fast models, unfortunately. I wish it hadn't been delayed so long, we ordered on the 13th. *sigh* at least it wasn't cancelled.

    You have only been waiting for 2 weeks so your order hasn't been delayed at all. Some of us waited almost 2 months for our Dell XPS 1330's

    Not familiar with that model. But I am just waiting and sick of hubby 'borrowing' my 17R. LOL! At least it hasn't been cancelled yet. It says it will be here in a week so all I can do is wait. Sorry you're still stuck waiting, I understand how frustrating it is. :(
