I had a Dell tech come and replace my motherboard to the A04 revision, as my original motherboard died on me. The replacement procedure was a bit hairy but I thought everything worked out ok, even with the four extra screws that were left over after the switch.

This morning I realized that the WiFi / Bluetooth & WiFi Catcher switches were broken. They slide without making contact or staying locked in any on/off position.

What's strange is when I'm connected to the internet, wired or wireless, the little icon in the lower right hand corner has the little globe on it, but when I hover my mouse over it, it states that I am NOT connected to the net. Could the broken WiFi / Bluetooth switches be the culprit?

Dell is sending a different tech over this time to see what's going on. If they cannot fix, then and only then will a replacement system be sent to me.

Any ideas on what could be going on here?
