Can anyone help me? I did a fresh install of vista on my 1520 when i got it. I've installed all the drivers and everything now works perfect except for the wifi catcher. When i flipped the switch when i first got it the a box would come up on the screen. Since the install nothing happens.

Does anyone have any idea what i can do to get it to work or where i can get the drivers or software from?

I seem to have fixed it. I checked weather quickset was enabled and it was not. I enabled it and it worked.

yeah, some laptop's switchers would only work if u software-enable it. i used to have a compal laptop and the switch would only be usable if i'd use a program....forgot what it's called.

    Hello :)
I have a question about this WiFi Catcher program. I'm using an Inspiron 1520 (view my signature) and when I have installed WiFi driver, QuickSet and everything it works only once. When I wanted to use it second time it shows only blank window with no networks shown there. But I know that there are some networks avalaible. I can make a screenshot of this window if it helps. Of course I have WiFi catcher enabled in QuickSet. Thanks for advice.

I also just received my Dell Inspiron 1420 and the WiFi Catcher light does not blink when the computer is turned off and not connected to any power. If I have the computer off and it is connected to the AC adapter and the battery is charging then if I hold the switch for a few seconds and let go the LED will blink yellow for a split second while the battery indicator blinks off. I know how this feature is supposed to work because I went to the Dell Store and tried it on there Inspiron 1420 and it works perfectly. Just hold the switch when the computer is off and the light will stay on for a few seconds indicating if there is a wireless network around. Not sure why the newer models are having this problem but the Dell Technical Support are of no help and are not acknowledging that there is an issue.

I have an XPS M1330 bought last December. I reinstalled windows Vista a few weeks back and Wifi catcher stopped wroking. To fix this, you have to go to Dell's website and go to where you can download drivers and applications and download and install the Dell Quickset. Even if you have it installed, just download the newer version and install it. It should work now.

    Good Luck!
