    Hello,

My Dell E1705 has this wireless card:

    Intel Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection

Seeing that I havn't downloaded any drivers for the past year or so and since I was not able to connect onto my wireless network, I felt that it was good idea to try and update them now. So, I went over to Intel's website and downloaded the first 2 downloads which they recommended for my wireless card on my OS (XP Pro) from this page.

After I installations, the wireless card stopped working. Even after trying to install the driver which Dell has on their website the wireless card still does not work.

Here's what I get when I try to open up the card's program:

Please, this is really frustrating me, does anyone have any idea on what I could do to repair the problem? Thanks. :(

if this problem started after you installed your new drivers wy dont you just roll back te drivers by accessing wireless card properties using device manager
if that doesnt help completely uninstall the drivers and then download the drivers from the official DELL support website and install them i presum you used dial up to conect to the internet this time if rolling back the drivers dont work try the second option tough it will take some time especially if your on a dial-up connection
    all the best

Well, I got it to work again! :D

This time I tried installing another download off the same list on which I downloaded my previous driver which screwed up the notebook. Fortunately, it was the right one and now everything seems to work just fine. :D

    Thanks everyone for helping out!
