    Hello all after my laptop failed to sell on ebay ive DECIDED to KEEP IT i want to know it has a t7100!!!! 1.8ghz 800mhz fsb!!! and 65 nm!!!


    ive read t9300!!! will work but it is 45 nm ??? so can it still work even though its 45!!!!nm!!!!?

    the fastest cpu you can put in the inspiron 1720 is the x9000 but the best power to price ratio is the t9300 is what I've been told most of the time.

    will it work even though its 45nm and my current cpu is 65nm? :eek:

    my cpu is also a 65nm (t5550) and yes I have been told I have the option to upgrade to a t9300 45nm

    there is a member on here "someformofhuman" who has an x9000 in his inspiron 1720

    If you have T7100, then it's likely your laptop uses Intel Mobile 965 Express chipset. So yes, upgrading to a T9300 or T9500 will work. My laptops use these kinds of configurations.

    These 45nm processors are the refresh models for Intel Mobile 965 Express series chipset, so be sure your laptop has already flashed with the latest BIOS before upgrading.
