Do you know if they will be offering it? Any reasons that give you such indication?

    Thank you

The new Latitude lines have already been out for a while now, and they don't have LED backlights.

When Dell adds dedicated graphics to them, there's no indication that they'll add such a feature. Of course, there's no evidence to say they won't either, but, I doubt it.

If you're talking about the next refresh...who knows?

No indications, but with a 15.4" WXGA+ available with LED backlighting (MBP screen), there's no reason why Dell couldn't offer that screen for their 15.4" notebooks.

Well, they're offering it for their 13.3 m1330. It makes sense though--people looking at the XPS line and comparing them against other gaming and entertainment laptops from other brands would probably care about LED screens and see that as a definite advantage of the XPS systems.

People looking at business laptops might not care quite as much--especially since the Latitudes get such great battery times as it is, and see it as an extra cost they had to pay.

I could see them making it an option at some point and touting the battery life advantage. If the cost drops enough, eventually I can imagine all the vendors using it in all their systems. But that's more long-term.
