i saw on the front page that intel will have a price drop for the core duos, to "make room" for the t2700. my question is, will dell drop the price also, or will they just go over to AMD, since they are with them now?

Actually i read on the wall street journal that dell going with AMD is (as of now) servers only. Which will start (i believe) end of this year or early next year. If you want to wait for AMD on dell laptops, it will be a while. Shame, i think i prefer AMD better.

Dell is using AMD processors for servers only. While it's a first step, there has not been any announcement that Dell will be using AMD processors in their notebooks or desktops.

As for the price drop, I imagine that Dell would have to follow it as well, if they intend to keep their prices lower than the other guys.

The prices on the core duo laptops may drop in the future when dells supply has to be replenished.
