They make it so you can burn off copies. It is under Start>Programs>Dell... They might send them to you if you ask.

    Its confusing....
It depends on what you are wanting. If you pay for any additional software like MS office, Norton, etc...anything like that should be shipped to you. If you didn't order any software, then you won't receive any cds except for WordPerfect.

Software that is standard with Dell like all of the junk software, CyberLink PowerDVD (dvd decoder), Sonic MyRecord, etc.... you can call dell and request those CDs. They are free of charge and you should receive them in 2 to 3 business days depending on where you live.

The OS CD can either be burned or bought, and possibly requested. Like zazonz said, there is a burning program in the start menu. This will allow you to burn one copy of the OS system. This will give you a clean system and can be used multiple times but only on Dell systems because it is an OEM version. If you haven't placed your order yet, I would strong suggest paying the 10 bucks and buying the backup OS cd that is offered. The burned cd gave me problems, and some users didn't even have it on their system. If you've already ordered your system... once you get it, if you don't have the burning utility, you can request it from Dell, but they might require you to pay for it or they might not.
