Probably very soon, but you won't be able to choose your own specs tho. Why not get it off the dell site?

Getting it off of Dell.com would be the best choice, as you can customize what specs you want. But like Acorn said, they'll probably be offering them fairly soon, most likely at the end of the month.

I over heard that people have seen the 'affordable' XPS machines in retail already?

The 1330 was on the front page of the Staples ad today. $999. Don't remember the specs though.

Edit: 2 gigs memory, T5450, WXGA TruLife

I can't say that I would ever even consider purchasing a pre-made laptop at a computer retail store. I'd rather have the chance to customize the computer to my liking.

Thanks all, that is good news. For myself, I would probably buy one from Dell, but sometimes a client may need one on the quick. Also, like today with the m1330 at Staples, it was maybe not the VERY best price, but it was a very good deal. I have always recommended Dell for my clients whenever possible. At the end of the day, all things considered, they are the best :)

Of course, now that I have my barely used D 630 tweaked up with 4GB RAM and a 16GB Mtron SSD, I have decided that I MUST have the glossy screen of the m1530 :)
