    well, dell has good prices, and their upcoming models seem quite desirable, i think they may have a relatively good year ahead, even in the depressed market conditions

    The release of Windows 7 will provide a boost of sales alone for people wanting new computers with the new os.

    Probably a good time to trim the excess management fat and get some new products out. Hopefully the Studio XPS will be worth the wait.

    I agree with you, however, I was surprised to see Mike Cannon (COO) leave after the major outsourcing of Dell production.
    Full disclosure - I worked with him at Maxtor (disk drive company) previously and he was a very competent leader...
