If I get my 1520, and it has a grainy screen, will Dell send a guy out?

What kind of warranty do you have?

Whatever is the normal one. I didn't change anything under the warranty options.

Check your invoice for 'at home' service. Last I checked the default option was for 1 year mail-in service but I am not 100% sure.

Also, it doesn't sound like having someone come out and change the screen will neccesarily fix your problem.
With the standard mail in warranty, I would guess it is unlikely they will come to your house to change it, but with the at home service they would.

I have the same warranty and there is a Dell repair person scheduled to come to my residence to replace the screen for light bleed off, set it up via the online chat, they did the diagnostics (FN key simultaneous with pwr on @ pwr up) and after the bleed off was verified they scheduled the in home repair.

    Good Luck
