    I'm planning to install 2 gig of ram myself. Will it void my warrenty if I do that? It it did, will changing back to original config before getting replaced/repaired be okay?

    Nope, it won't. It will if you short circuit your notebook during the upgrade process, but that's as rare as going out for dinner with Jessica Alba.

    I second coriolis. I asked a dell CSR when I was ordering, and he said no as well.
