Im getting ready to buy a 1720.......my question is ....... if I get Vista Business or Ultimate.....will my computer be 64bit??? And will it use the whole 4GB of RAM

I have been told that u use the 4GB of RAM with 64bit..... but that if you didn't have the right processor and motherboard then you'd still only be 32bit even with vista business or ultimate......so now I'm confused.....PLEASE HELP

Will I have a 32bit or 64bit system if I buy a 1720 with Vista Business or Ultimate????

Dell only installs the 32 bit versions of Vista; therefore, you won't be able to use all of the 4GB, it will instead be around 3.3GB (it may show up as 4GB under your computer properties because of SP1, but it still cannot use all 4GB)

You have to remember that most computers come with 2gb standard, so 3.3 is still a lot.
