I have been drooling over the 9300 for the past few weeks because of what you can get for the price with the coupons and whatnot. I have been planning on buying a laptop at the end of this Summer for some time. I will not be able to pay for it until around the middle of August. I would love to get my hands on one of these babies with the fabulous discounts. Will the 9300 still be around? Will the discounts still be available?

As of right now, there has been no news about new Inspirons being released. Problem is that Dell only gives a month's notice about new laptops before their release dates.
Back in Feb. they announced the new 9300 and it was available for sell in March. There was no indication or at least no official announcement by Dell that it would replace the 9200 series. Then on the first day that the 9300 was available, the 9200 disappaered from their site.
Coupons should still be available, but whether they will be as good as what they have been lately is another guess. They've been doing the $750 discount for the last two or three months, and before that they were offering $500 off. There have been a few $800 off and like %35 off also.
I wish I could give you more information, but Dell is pretty tight lip about their products/discounts.

they are pretty tight lipped, but the 9300 leaked about 3 months before it actually came out...and we know there'll be an Inspiron 19" model in 2006. I think you're very safe waiting until the end of summer as there will definitely be coupons and I don't think the 9300 will be due for replacement until end of the year at the very earliest.

Thanx guys now I feel better knowing this.
Will the 9300 be available in mid to late August?
