    Hello-

I have a new 1520 that I ordered with 1gb ram (the least). I bought from new egg a crucial compatible 2gb stick that I plan on sticking into the slot under the computer. I know the other 512mb stick is under the keyboard and I understand that Windows Vista basic runs games well with more than 2 gb ram, but will the two memory modules cause problems with them being two different sizes?

I understand that the memory will work at the slowest speed (thats fine), but I sometimes hear that both sticks should be the same size. Opinions?

    Anthony

ps. is 2.5 GB enough ram for a vista home basic system tha I plan on playing games on (like FEAR, etc.)

It doesn't have to be the same size. That's just to get the synch dual channel working. Without it your comp will run just fine.
