Should work, right?
-
bumping this thread.............
-
It will works well, I've got the same card in my laptop.
-
Me too. Works very well.

I got it today...but I am having problems. My first question....I installed it and started up but it isn't recognizing the card? Do I have a dead one?
Second....I am not sure which order the antennas plug into. I don't think this is the reason for not recognizing the card.
Any ideas on what I can do to test if it is working or not? -
Can you make a photo of it?? Or better, here is a picture of how it's connected right, do you have it like that??

I have it in fine. Clips are down and all. My antennas may not be right...but that should only affect my wireless signal, it shouldn't affect if my card is recognized or not
There are no unknown devices in the device manager either. -
Are you upgrading another WLAN card or is this the first time you've had a wireless card in there? If so go into the BIOS and make sure it's enabled under "Wireless".
-
Your antennas seems to be connected wrong...the right order should be (left to right): light grey(or white..really don't know how to call that color...on your picture on number 3) then the dark grey (on your picture on number 2) and then the black one (on your picture is connected on number 1). Try to refresh the attachment, it doesn't load properlly for me too, but refreshing the page helps.
But the wrong antennas conncetion shouldn't cause that your laptop don't recognize the card...anyway, try to re-connect them in order that i've written and try to look-up in the bios, there may be wireless disabled. -
Move the antennas to the correct position.
Checked the BIOS and on the first page under Wi-F it says NONE.
Gotta be busted if the BIOS doesn't even see the card. I'll ask for a replacement from the guy as it says 30day warranty for replacement. -
Yeah...the card seems to be really dead...btw, how much it costs?? Isn't it better to buy it from Dell?? And get a working card??
-
Cost me $25. Same one as the original link. Dell's are like twice the price. -
Got a new one. Works perfectly
Guess I really did get a DOA. Very happy.
Will this wifi card work with my 1520?
