    Hi
I want to install mediadirect again after I deleted and merged the partition to my Vista partition.

Now, I wanna backup everything on my harddrive. I want it to be just as it is now, with all my programs installed and configuration, settings and so on.

I read somewhere this could be done with some kind of funtion built into Vista.

I have another computer to store the files on while installing Media Direct and Vista again.

Is this possible? How long would it take? Worth it? Is there a guide to make the backup? I know there is one to reinstall Media Direct.

Edit: Can i place the files to another computer on my network? Or do i need an external harddrive plugged into my laptop?
