Specs? Inspiron E1705 A10, 2GB RAM, 7800GTX, Windows 7 x86
Okay, so lemme bring you all up to speed.... My girlfriends daughter got a virus on here via facebook somehow, and I'm pretty much forced to do a re-install.... Well; that would be easier than fixing the TONS of problems I've been having the past 2 days..
So anyways... I've pulled the viruses off, and the computer is Malware and virus free, but the bugs still left my computer limping. I'm trying to reinstall windows 7, I'm going to install x64 (despite having 2gb RAM, I plan to upgrade soon.)
Now... the OS loads just fine... BIOS sees my drive. You can see the hard drive in "My computer." HOWEVER... Running the installer via mounted ISO (Yes, it works flawlessly) Win7 says it can't find any devices to install on.. Now heres the weird part...
Keep in mind... My C drive boots fine, loads my OS, and shows up on the explorer. HOWEVER... if you look for it under device manager, or the Computer management.... There's nothing there. It shows my music flash drive, but that's it.. I've tried everything.. unplugging drives, checking the connection on the hard drive, making sure there are no IRQ conflicts, and even ran the "SFC /SCANNOW" command nothing seems to solve my problem..
I suppose I could always install from DVD, but if it's not finding my hard drive while the OS is loaded... that could mean me having to format, which... I'm not going through all that trouble... especially with about 100 gigs worth of Music production software...

**FIXED!!** A new bug is out on the loose, and pretty much the only symptom you get is searching on Google and being taken to completely random sites. If anyone else has this similar problem with google or the hard drive issue, go here.
