    Hi guys,

Tried searching for this for like 10 mins. Need someones help in posting the link to this solution.

I installed windows XP on this m1330 a few days ago. Now I decided to give Vista a try. So I had enrolled my fingers into the hardware a few days ago on XP.

Now whenever I swipe in Vista, it keeps asking me to enroll my fingers. there are 19 slots available. Yes thats true, because I assigned 2 fingers. I know I can't overwrite them.

How do I get Vista to work again with the FP reader?

    Thanks
    Zak

19 slots? But most humans only have 10 fingers. How does it work? lol

They were initially made for spies. It was then found to be a useful feature for mutants.

64 or 32 bit vista? If you're using 64 bit Vista, reference my 64-bit install for the drivers. If you're using 32, go back to XP as 32 bit Vista is crippled too much by running a half speed kernel and drivers. XP will experience far less of that, as you probably already notice.

Found the answer. Just have to go to the control center of the fingerprint reader and remove the previous fingerprints. Then re-enroll again. :)

So much for security, anyone pretending to surf youtube on my lappie can just get rid of my prints.
