Hi there guys, I’m just preparing to do a fresh install of windows 7 x64, onto my system which is currently vista x64. I have an XPS M1530.

I’ve always had MediaDirect installed, I didn’t have a reason not to, but now I have found that I never use it from boot. I do use the MediaDirect hardware button to launch MediaDirect quickly when watching DVDs though.

    So, two questions I guess:

    1. Can I install MediaDirect after I install windows 7? I mean in a way that there is no bootable option, but when I press the MediaDirect button on the laptop the software will launch.

    2. If I don’t install MediaDirect, does anyone know how to remap the button to launch windows media centre in Windows 7?

Any input or advice is greatly welcome, look forward to hearing from you!
