Does anyone know where I can get the Windows 7 drivers for the Inspiron 700m? I can't get my Wi-Fi working on it.

What kind of wireless card do you have? Also, have you run Windows Update?

Short answer: You can't from Dell. Windows 7 was never offered on this system, so there are no drivers.

Long answer: You might be able to find the driver from the manufacturer's site. You also might be able to use the Vista drivers.

You might find the XP drivers work too.

If all else fails, try to find out what network card you have installed and google for that and 'Windows 7' and you should find something.

Tried running Windows Update? On older mainstream notebooks, I've found that typically takes care of all the drivers.

It is difficult to run update when I can't even connect to the Internet, but I will try your ideas when I have the time. Thanks.

You might have to connect using the NIC, or borrow a PCMCIA wireless card that has drivers.

Again, what wireless card do you have? We might be able to help you out.

Thanks. If this doesn't work, then it might be too much of a hassle to install Windows 7 on this machine (Dell Inspiron 700m). Thanks, though...
