    now theres

    Windows Aero is not working.

This copy of Microsoft Windows is not genuine.

To use all Microsoft Windows features, such as the windows aero color scheme and its associated visual elements; get the latest updates; and recieve product support, your copy of microsoft windows must be validated as genuine

    then says go here

This is a problem with Windows Vista's version of Windows Genuine Advantage. According to this : http://forums.microsoft.com/Genuine/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=897109&SiteID=25

The problem seems to come from several different pieces of software that can interfere with WGA's protection scheme. Did you install any new programs right before this happened? You could try a System Restore to a point before this happened to see if that would resolve the issue.

Here is Microsoft's specific explanation for that exact error code:

    "Error codes 0XC004D401 and 0x80080250
You receive one of these error codes because your antivirus software or Digital Rights Management (DRM) software is incompatible with Windows Vista. Contact the software manufacturer of the antivirus software or of the DRM software to obtain a version that is compatible with Window Vista, and then reactivate Windows Vista.
