Does anyone know of any reason why installing Windows Server 2003 on a E1705 would *not* work?

I'm pretty sure Windows Server 2003 uses the same drivers as XP. Can anyone confirm that?

    Thanks,
    Steve

actually it depends on the version of Win 2003 you're installing. If you're going to install Web or Standard editions, you should not have any problems. Even if you can't find 2003 drivers, then _most_ XP drivers should work. The only problem you might have is if you can't find a Win2003 driver and XP driver won't work (fairly unlikely, but possible).

Enterprise edition (for one reason or another) does not include support for some things you would expect such as IR and data center edition is impractical.

Also, some software won't work on Win2003 that works on XP, because certain applications may support only "workstation OSs" and Win2003 is a "server OSs" thus you have to use that company's other product. Examples of such applications include Partition Magic and Norton Antivirus (if I'm not mistaken).
