assuming you got the beta via proper channels (you're an MSDN subscriber or similar), i would suggest contancting microsoft. doubtful you'll get any help as it's a beta, but you can try.

I have contact them, but they have drivers only for the corporate kind of models (lattitude, optiplex etc) :(.

It looks so good that I am going to keep it just like that for a wile...

I think the beta shipped with all the drivers. I personally didn't think it was all that great. The black taskbar and start button was kinda cool. Couldn't figure out how to get the folders in explorer to show up, but I didn't try that hard.

So it is for sure that Microsoft is making a 32-bit compatible version of Windows Vista. Or am I missing something?

Beta version I have is 32 bits.. later this year 64 bits will be available.

PS> You dont have to pay for it, you just need to have MSDN subscription or be a Beta tester.

vista doesnt look that much different from windows media center edition. the new type of taskbar. but it does look a hell of a lot better than win xp. the folders look a lot like apple's os.

Ok like southern girl said, huma and everyone, that is illegal if you download it if you dont have a msdn subscription, or you are a tester. So don't!

Okay, so the beta version is 32-bit. Will the final version that is released to the public be available in 32-bit? Or is just going to be 64-bit?

Both versions are going to be available, as they are for Windows XP (32 and 64 bits), problem right now with 64 bits are the drivers.... printers, audio etc should release 64 bit drivers in order to work with 64 bits OS.

This thread has gone on long enough. It is off topic since you are discussing Vista in general, and not the driver. This discussion about the pirated version is illegal of course since most of you are not developers, and these type of activities are NOT supported by NBR.com.

If you want to discuss general things about Vista, then post on the following thread

    Locking thread....
