    Windows XP drivers for dell 1558?????

    Can anybody tell me if its possible to get drivers to install windows xp on the dell studio 1558? i just bought one a week back and i just found out that i can;t use any of my software on windows 7. but i can;t find the drivers for windows xp for the dell studio 1558 anywhere. pls help me out!!! :mad:

    First of all, what software are you using that won't work on Windows 7?

    Second of all, Dell never released the Studio 1558 with Windows XP, so why would they make drivers for them?

    Whatever software your having a problem with just right click on the installer and /or shortcut and run it in compatibility mode (XP SP2,SP3,Vista SP2) and see if that helps.

    my friends who have used windows 7 say that some CAD programs like Pro-E and CATIA do NOT work on windows 7!! thats pretty much what i planned on using. anyway, can't i use the windows xp drivers for the Dell Studio 1555 on the studio 1558??
