This is starting to seriously **** me off :(
I reinstalled my Studio15 with XP Pro SP3 and every now and then (1-2 every 30min), the windows key will simply turn on like capslock.
so... if I type R, it opens the RUN prompt.
Type L, it locks the pc. GRRRRR!!!

If I tap the Win-key, it "turns itself off" again.

Please, how do I fix this... it's driving me insane :(

It could be a sticky key. Are you using remote desktop at all?

dude.. just go back to vista.. whats the prob with vista? u cant complain to dell with XP on the machine.. and imagine u get a problem with the hardware.. run vista as it is intended to. if not get a machine that has xp cds with it and will work 100% as tested.

If its not a sticky key, have you checked whether the win key is stuck or not. Sometimes the keyboard keys get stuck and they act as if continously pressed.

I have the same problem with Windows VISTA.
I am using bios version A05, the last updates, but still have the problem and is very annoying.

return to dell... but put vista on first like it came.. so they dont come up with a random excuse that user installed faulty os.
