im thinking of getting a re-installation disk but i didnt order it with my laptop, any way i can get it now? and is it worth going through the trouble just to find it?
-
talk to them with the chat thing on their site....they'll get you set up. Yes, its worth it to get rid of all the crap that game installed on your computer.
-
It's worth it if you dont want to have to deal with dell junkware.
Call up dell and see what can be done to get one sent to you. Also, ask for the sonic and powerdvd discs at the same time so you can still play dvd's and such.
edit: oh yes, the online chat thing is VERY helpful, thats how i got my extra discs overnight
After that, read:

for info on how to reinstall without screwin up your computer
i just did it and it is worth it for sure -
ok but how do i get to that chat thing?
P.S.: and to chris2pher71, what game???? -
WHoa! game? lol. I have no idea where that came from....oohh...I just typed in came and realized it was a typo...meant came....sorry.
go to support.dell.com and on the right there a thing that says "need more help?" and then right below it says "chat with us" -
lol chris, thx but i havent got my com pyet so i cant put the "service tag" in, so do i have to wait till i get it or should i just wait till the weekend is over to call them
btw, im in canada and the "chat with us" feature is only on the US site so im not sure whether it will work -
Unfortunately, the chat feature won't work. You can call them right now and talk with the Tech Support. They should be able to pull up your order and send you the discs. If worse comes to worse, you can wait till you get the laptop, then call Dell. They will send the discs to you within 2 business days.

i tried calling Dell and it said they were closed, so i have to wait till after the long weekend we have here in canada
but are the Tech Support ppl open all the time? if they are, then im gonna call them tomorrow -
Doesn't really matter when you call them, the package won't be shipped until the long-weekend is over, so you might aswell wait for the Customer Care department to be open on Tuesday and you'll get the CD's on Wednesday.

in your dell account and click Add my new systems. It will be there. (the service tag) -
