I know ths forum is for laptops , but im so frustrtaed right now im lookin for answers anywhere. When i open up the windows task manager i have about 50 things listed. How can i figure out what each of them does. I really only surf the web, light word proccesing and play an occasional game on my desktop. any help would be awsome. also i would like basically get rid of everything in my desktop and do a clean re-install of the OS, cant find the link (Im assuming its probably the same procces as on a lap).

For this, i can recommend to look at each process that's in your task manager process tab ( I'm assuming your laptop does not have 50 application running). for each of the process do a google search and see if the results ring a bell. If you decide you don't need it, uninstall it.

    You mean formatting? link?
