    hi guys,

I would like to have dual boot winxp + windowsvista in my recently purchsed dell vostro 1400 notebook. I googled for dual boot and managed to find good amount of information.

    i still have following queries:

    1. I hve win xp cd. This is old one meaning tht it doesnt have sp1 or sp2. Can i use this cd to install using nlite?

    2. do i need to downlod BIOS driver from dell website?

    thanks in advance

    1. Set the hard drive to ATA and disable Flash Cache in BIOS.
    2. Install XP.
    3. Install the Intel Matrix Storage Manager.
    4. Change the hard drive to AHCI and enable the Flash Cache in BIOS.
